Attorney Marco A. Schiavo is a co-founder and Senior Partner of Simmons & Schiavo, LLP. Attorney Schiavo’s practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial and residential real estate law and corporate law. Attorney Schiavo represents homeowners in obtaining short sale approval from their mortgage lenders and counsels clients through the Bankruptcy process to avoid credit card debt and deficiency judgments post short sale and foreclosure proceedings. His experience in acquisition and sale of real estate includes multiple unit condominium conversions, commercial shopping center lease negotiation, construction agreement negotiation and mortgage lender representation. His corporate law experience includes corporate entity selection and formation, buyer and seller representation, corporate buy-sell agreements and business licensing. Attorney Schiavo speaks Italian and Spanish fluently. Attorney Schiavo has been a co-host and panelist at Spanish-speaking First Time Homebuyer seminars and also is a frequent guest speaker on Spanish radio discussing various legal topics.
Attorney Marco Schiavo is admitted to practice in both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Courts and United States Federal District Court. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law where he focused his studies on Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. Prior to law school he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Babson College with a double major in Finance and International Business Studies. Attorney Schiavo is an active member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (REBA) and member of the National Academy of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA).
