Attorney Adriana Gioumbakis is an Associate at Simmons & Schiavo, LLP. Attorney Gioumbakis focuses her practice in the areas of landlord/tenant law, real estate conveyancing, and corporate law. In Landlord/Tenant matters, Attorney Gioumbakis represents a broad range of clients including individual landlords with one rental unit to large commercial landlords with several hundred rental units. Her experience includes all aspects of landlord/tenant law including eviction actions for non-payment of rent, defending tenant counterclaims in a Summary Process action and attending hearings and trials at the various housing courts throughout Massachusetts. In addition, Attorney Gioumbakis works extensively with Landlords to create proper lease and tenancy-at-will agreements and advises her clients on how to properly create a tenancy with particular detail given to compliance with the Massachusetts security deposit law. Attorney Gioumbakis’ real estate conveyancing practice includes resolution of complex title issues, representing buyers and sellers in negotiation of purchase and sales agreements, and conducting residential real estate closings. Attorney Gioumbakis’ corporate law experience includes advising clients in proper corporate entity selection and formation, representing buyers and sellers of businesses in their contract negotiations, and business licensing work. Attorney Gioumbakis is a member of the Greater Lowell Bar Association and speaks Greek and Spanish fluently.
Prior to joining Simmons & Schiavo, LLP, Attorney Gioumbakis was a law clerk for Harmon Law Offices and an attorney with Korde & Associates, P.C. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law in Boston graduating Cum Laude. Prior to law school Attorney Gioumbakis double majored at Boston University in International Political Economics and Human Pattern Geography graduating Cum Laude. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of New York, and the United States Federal District Court.
